Martin Schippers is an internationally acclaimed trombonist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He is also a respected professor at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Switzerland), where he teaches alto, tenor, and bass trombone at the conservatory level. With a career spanning top orchestras, festivals, and institutions worldwide, he is recognized for both orchestral excellence and elite-level pedagogy.

Martin began his musical training at a young age, later studying at the Rotterdam Conservatoire, where his exceptional talent led to early professional appointments. He has held principal and section positions with leading Dutch orchestras and has performed in the world’s most renowned concert halls as a member of the Concertgebouworkest and its brass and chamber ensembles.

In addition to his orchestral career, Martin is an in-demand international educator, regularly teaching masterclasses and performing at major festivals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He is known for his clear, structured teaching approach, focusing on sound production, musical clarity, orchestral style, and professional preparation.
