What Parents Should know

WELCOME

Welcome to The Global Conservatory

The Global Conservatory offers something rare: professional music education delivered online by world-class faculty, built for children and teens. Whether your child is just starting or preparing for competitive auditions, we provide a structured, inspiring, and safe learning environment — from the comfort of your home.

We serve students ages 5 and up, across all instruments and experience levels.

HOW OUR LESSONS WORK

  • One-on-One, One-Hour Lessons
Each lesson is a live, private 60-minute session over Zoom — fully customized to your child’s needs, goals, and level.
  • Flexible Scheduling, Any Day of the Week
Teachers are available 7 days a week, across time zones. Lessons can be booked morning, afternoon, or evening — whatever works best for your family.
  • Structured Learning, Real Progress
Your child will develop technique, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, expression, and musical confidence — step by step.
  • Group Classes & Ensemble Options
    Optional add-on programs include:
    • Suzuki Program (ages 5–10)
    • Chamber Music Coaching
    • Rock, Pop & Folk Bands
    • World Instrument Explorations

OUR TEACHERS

  • Professionals from Top Institutions
Our faculty includes graduates and active performers from Juilliard, Curtis, Eastman, top orchestras, and global conservatories.
  • Vetted and Trained
Every teacher undergoes background checks, interviews, and online teaching certification.
  • Specialists in Teaching Kids & Teens
Our instructors are not just great musicians — they’re outstanding educators who know how to motivate, connect, and build trust with young students.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT AT HOME

  • Most teachers give clear post-lesson assignments.
  • Young students may need help organizing materials or setting reminders.
  • You don’t need to be a musician — just consistent, encouraging, and present.
  • Even 15 minutes of daily review makes a major impact.

You’re welcome to quietly observe lessons if helpful, especially early on.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

  • Stable internet (WiFi or Ethernet)
  • Laptop, tablet, or desktop with a camera
  • Zoom (free download)
  • Headphones or external speaker

We suggest setting up in a quiet, well-lit space where your child can focus.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION

  • Teachers set their hourly rates
  • A 25% platform fee is added (shown clearly at checkout)
  • Bookings are paid securely at time of scheduling
  • Lessons can be rescheduled or canceled with 24 hours’ notice
  • No contracts required — book as you go or in flexible packages

HOW WE KEEP YOU INFORMED

  • Teachers often provide brief post-lesson notes
  • You can contact the teacher directly or email us any time
  • We’re here to ensure your child’s progress is supported

If you’d like a formal progress check-in or recommendation, just ask.

SAFETY, PRIVACY & RECORDINGS

  • All lessons are private and secure
  • Recordings are optional and only enabled with parental consent
  • Videos are stored securely and shared only with your family
  • In-person meetings between teachers and students are not allowed — all learning takes place online for everyone’s safety

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN

Each teacher tailors the lesson, but in general, your child will build:

  • Solid instrumental or vocal technique
  • Sight reading and rhythm accuracy
  • Aural skills and musical memory
  • Expressive performance
  • Optional theory, history, or composition

For more advanced students, we also offer audition coaching, mock performances, and certificate prep.
