The Gap Year program is designed for students ages 17-25. This includes recent high school graduates, students taking time between degrees, and young professionals seeking intensive musical development.
While The Global Conservatory does not grant university degrees, many partner institutions recognize our program for transfer credit. We provide detailed documentation of your coursework and can work with your university on credit evaluation.
Students join from over 30 countries worldwide. Our program is built for a global community, with flexible scheduling and online components that allow participation regardless of location. Intensive residency periods bring the cohort together in person.
You will need a reliable internet connection, a computer with a webcam, and access to your instrument and a suitable practice space. We provide guidance on recording equipment for auditions and portfolio submissions.
Graduates leave with a professional-quality portfolio, audition recordings, and a personalized career plan. Many go on to top conservatories, university music programs, or directly into performance careers. Our alumni network and faculty connections support your next step.
