An Elite Marching Ensemble for the 21st Century — Built for the World

The Global Conservatory introduces the Global Marching Band: the world’s first fully international, fully funded, climate-adapted marching arts fellowship for elite young musicians.

Inspired by the excellence of the Western marching tradition — from DCI corps to top university bands — this program takes the art form in a new direction: global, inclusive, and built for performance in a climate-controlled environment.

It’s a new frontier for brass, percussion, and pageantry — with no geographic limits and no compromise on artistry.


Who Can Apply
  • Ages 14–25
  • All nationalities welcome
  • Open to:
  • Brass (Trumpet, Mellophone, Baritone, Euphonium, Tuba)
  • Battery Percussion (Snare, Tenor, Bass)
  • Front Ensemble (Mallets, Synth, Aux Percussion)
  • Color Guard / Visual Artists

Prior marching or movement experience preferred (DCI, HBCU, conservatory, or advanced training)


Touring & Appearances

The ensemble will perform at major events, including:

  • Launch concerts in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf
  • Invitations to international expos and festivals
  • Guest exhibitions alongside DCI and international corps
  • Cross-collaborations with orchestra, jazz, and wind ensemble programs

Indoor and outdoor shows will be scheduled during cooler seasons or at night to ensure performer safety and comfort.


Audition Process

Applications open Spring 2026

  • Submit video of performance + movement (where applicable)
  • Evaluation based on technique, rhythm, tone, ensemble awareness, and visual readiness
  • Finalists may complete a remote training or interview round
  • Applicants should be prepared for both musical and physical performance demands
