Jerome Burns is a highly distinctive trumpet performer and educator based in Danbury, Connecticut, USA. Known as a true “dweller in niches,” Jerome specializes in the demanding and unconventional musical worlds of Karlheinz Stockhausen and the progressive metal band Meshuggah, bringing a rare perspective that bridges contemporary classical music, experimental performance, and extreme rhythmic precision.
Jerome holds a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from SUNY Purchase, a Master of Arts in Trumpet Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, and advanced specialization through Master aus LICHT at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, one of the world’s foremost centers for contemporary and avant-garde music. His academic and artistic background places him at the intersection of cutting-edge modern music and rigorous classical training.
