A flutist, composer, arranger, recording artist, Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music, Flute Faculty at Brookline Music School, and a Jazz Flute Committee Member at the National Flute Association of the USA, Yağmur Soydemir has received numerous awards in international solo flute and chamber music competitions across Europe and the USA. She has performed with more than twenty prominent symphony orchestras across Turkey, Europe, and the USA.
Expanding her expertise in classical music for over 20 years, she frequently performs with her own jazz band and in jazz big bands at prestigious venues, including the MGM Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, Berklee Performance Center, Harvard Club of Boston and Neidorff-Karpati Hall.
As a composer and arranger, Yağmur's original works have been performed by small ensembles and orchestras with notable performances in Turkey and the USA.
She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Flute Performance from the Nice Conservatory in France, studied her first Master's Degree at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland, followed by a Professional Diploma from Berklee College of Music, and later completed another Master's Degree in Global Jazz at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, where she was awarded a full-tuition scholarship twice.
