Andrew Gekoskie is an accomplished conductor and educator with over 30 years of experience in orchestral leadership and instrumental music education. Holding a Bachelor of Music and extensive graduate studies at The Juilliard School, The Hartt School, Shenandoah Conservatory, Duquesne University, and Boston University, he brings deep musical insight and a lifelong dedication to artistic excellence. As Music Director and Artistic Director of the Orchestra X Project in South Florida, he is a passionate advocate for contemporary music, premiering works by composers such as Steven Bryant and Arturo Rodríguez. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2003 and will return in 2026, marking another milestone in his distinguished career.
