Issued by: Kalinklo Limited (Hong Kong SAR), operating as The Global Conservatory ("TGC", "we", "us", "our").
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what we expect from anyone who uses theglobalconservatory.com, the TGC student portal, the TGC faculty portal, the apply.theglobalconservatory.com applications subdomain, and any other TGC service (collectively, the "Services"). It supplements our Terms of Service and applies in addition to any specific terms governing your role (student, parent/guardian, faculty, partner, visitor).
2. You Agree NOT To
- Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law (including export-control, sanctions, anti-money-laundering, child-protection, copyright, and data-protection laws)
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, defame, discriminate against, or stalk any other user (faculty, student, staff, or visitor)
- Engage in any sexual misconduct, including but not limited to grooming behavior, sexual contact with minors, or non-consensual sexual communications
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, qualifications, or affiliation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data — including penetration testing without explicit written authorization from TGC
- Upload, share, or transmit malware, ransomware, phishing content, spyware, or any malicious code
- Scrape, crawl, or download in bulk any TGC content, faculty profiles, student profiles, or curriculum without explicit written authorization
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts, AI agents) to interact with the Services without TGC authorization, except for compliant indexing by major search engines
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute any TGC service, lesson, recording, or curriculum content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of TGC's software
- Use the Services to spam, send unsolicited bulk communications, or run unsolicited marketing
- Post or share content that infringes intellectual property rights, including unauthorized recordings of copyrighted music or third-party performances
- Record any TGC lesson, masterclass, or event without explicit written consent (see Recording & Consent Policy)
- Circumvent any technical protection (e.g., paywalls, access controls, DRM)
- Engage in any activity that intentionally degrades the performance of the Services for other users
3. Faculty-Specific Standards
If you are a faculty member or applicant, you additionally agree to comply with TGC's Recording & Consent Policy, Child Safeguarding Policy, the TGC Faculty Engagement Letter, and applicable per-jurisdiction professional standards (teaching certifications, codes of ethics, etc.).
4. Student / Parent / Guardian Standards
Students and parents/guardians agree to:
- Treat all faculty and other students with respect
- Comply with the assigned faculty's reasonable lesson protocols
- Not record, distribute, or post lesson content without consent
- Not contact a faculty member outside the TGC platform unless explicitly authorized
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP — by another user, faculty member, or yourself — please report to:
- General misconduct: report@theglobalconservatory.com
- Child-safeguarding concerns: safeguarding@theglobalconservatory.com (24-hour response target)
- Security vulnerabilities: security@theglobalconservatory.com (or use security.txt where published)
- Privacy / data concerns: privacy@theglobalconservatory.com
6. Enforcement
TGC reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to:
- Issue a warning
- Suspend access pending investigation
- Permanently terminate access
- Cooperate with law enforcement and disclose user information where compelled by valid legal process
- Pursue civil and/or criminal remedies
Termination for AUP violation does not entitle a user to a refund of fees paid; refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Updates to This AUP
This AUP is reviewed at least every 12 months and updated as required. The "Effective Date" reflects the most recent revision.
