Details Coming SoonThe Summer Experience
What does a typical day look like in a TGC summer intensive? Here is a glimpse into the rhythm of learning, creating, and performing that defines every program.
Masterclass & Technique
Each morning opens with a live masterclass led by a distinguished guest artist or faculty member. These sessions combine demonstration, coaching, and discussion, giving you front-row access to world-class instruction. Whether you are performing or observing, every masterclass deepens your understanding of craft, interpretation, and artistry.
Workshops & Collaboration
Afternoons are devoted to hands-on workshops and small-group collaboration. Depending on your program, you might rehearse with your chamber ensemble, workshop a new composition with peers, or build a track in your DAW alongside a production mentor. These sessions are where ideas become music — and where lasting creative partnerships begin.
Performances & Critiques
Evenings bring the community together for informal performances, listening sessions, and peer critiques. Share works-in-progress, receive constructive feedback, and experience the thrill of performing for an engaged, supportive audience drawn from across the globe. These sessions build confidence, sharpen your ear, and forge the bonds that make TGC's community extraordinary.
Who Should Apply?
TGC summer programs welcome musicians of all backgrounds and stages. If any of these descriptions resonate with you, there is a place for you this summer.
Pre-College Students
High school musicians seeking intensive training beyond their school programs. Our summer intensives offer a taste of conservatory-level instruction, helping you build skills and explore whether a music career is right for you — all before you apply to college.
College & Conservatory Students
Current undergraduate and graduate music students looking to supplement their studies with focused summer work. Explore new repertoire, expand your network, and gain fresh perspectives from faculty and peers outside your home institution.
Adult Learners
Lifelong musicians who want to deepen their skills without the commitment of a full degree program. Whether you studied music decades ago or have been playing on your own, our programs meet you where you are and push you further.
Career Changers
Professionals exploring a transition into music — whether as performers, composers, producers, or educators. Our summer programs offer a low-risk, high-reward way to test the waters, build a portfolio, and connect with mentors who understand your journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are TGC summer programs fully online?
Yes. Every TGC summer program takes place entirely online through our purpose-built virtual campus. You can participate from anywhere in the world — all you need is a reliable internet connection, your instrument (or DAW), and a quiet space to work. Our platform supports high-quality audio and video for lessons, rehearsals, masterclasses, and performances.
What are the age requirements?
Age requirements vary by program. Most summer intensives are open to participants ages 16 and older. The Music Production Bootcamp welcomes students ages 14 and up. There is no upper age limit for any of our programs — we believe great music-making happens at every stage of life. Specific requirements are listed on each program's detail page.
How much do the summer programs cost?
Tuition for Summer 2027 programs has not yet been finalized. We are committed to making our intensives accessible and affordable, and pricing will be announced alongside full program details in the coming months. Register early below to receive tuition information as soon as it becomes available.
Is college credit available?
Yes. Select TGC summer programs will offer the option to earn college credit through our accredited academic partners. Credit-bearing options, requirements, and associated fees will be detailed on each program page once finalized. Early registrants will be the first to receive this information.
What technology or equipment do I need?
At minimum, you will need a computer (Mac or PC) with a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. For performance and ensemble programs, an external microphone and headphones are strongly recommended for the best audio quality. The Music Production Bootcamp requires a DAW (free trials are available for all major platforms). Detailed tech requirements are provided on each program page and in your acceptance materials.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
Scholarship applications will open alongside early registration. When you register your interest using the form below, you can indicate that you would like to be considered for financial aid. We will send you the full scholarship application and instructions as soon as they become available. Both merit-based and need-based awards are offered across all programs.
Can I participate in more than one program?
Absolutely. Many students choose to combine two or more summer intensives for a fuller experience. Programs are scheduled to minimize overlap wherever possible, and multi-program participants may be eligible for bundled tuition discounts. Indicate all the programs you are interested in on the early registration form and we will help you plan your summer.
What time zone are the sessions held in?
Live sessions are typically scheduled in the U.S. Eastern time zone (ET), but we design our daily schedules with global accessibility in mind. Core activities are concentrated during hours that work for participants across North America, Europe, and parts of Asia. Recorded sessions and asynchronous materials are also provided so you never miss essential content regardless of your location.
What happens after the program ends?
Your connection to TGC does not end when the intensive wraps. Summer alumni gain access to our year-round community platform, where you can continue collaborating with peers and faculty. You will also receive priority consideration and a streamlined application process for TGC's full certificate and degree programs, as well as invitations to alumni masterclasses and events throughout the year.
