Our Mission

The greatest soloists of tomorrow are practicing right now in cities and towns across the world. Many will never have the chance to be heard by the international music community, simply because traditional competitions demand expensive travel, elite connections, and institutional backing.

The TGC International Concerto Competition exists to change that reality. We bring the prestige and rigor of the world's finest solo competitions to a fully virtual format that is accessible to any musician with a recording device and an internet connection.

Open to all nationalities. No institutional affiliation required. Judged solely on the quality of your musicianship. This is what a competition built for the 21st century looks like.

Concerto Competition FAQ

Find answers to the most common questions about the TGC International Concerto Competition below. For additional inquiries, contact info@theglobalconservatory.com.

The TGC International Concerto Competition is open to musicians aged 13 to 30 at the time of the submission deadline. There is no minimum or maximum age within each division. All age groups compete together, and the jury evaluates purely on the basis of artistic merit.

No. The TGC International Concerto Competition is open to all musicians regardless of educational background. Whether you study at a leading conservatory, take private lessons, or are entirely self-taught, you are welcome to apply. We evaluate musicianship, not credentials.

Yes, you may enter multiple divisions if you play more than one instrument at a competitive level. Each division requires a separate entry form and fee. For example, a musician who plays both piano and violin could enter both the Piano Division and the Strings Division with different repertoire for each.

For the preliminary round, you may perform with a live pianist, use a pre-recorded orchestral backing track, or perform the solo part unaccompanied if the music is coherent without accompaniment. For the semifinal and final rounds, accompanied performance with a live pianist is strongly preferred. Detailed guidance will be provided to advancing competitors.

You need a camera capable of recording at minimum 1080p resolution (most modern smartphones meet this requirement) and, ideally, an external microphone for better audio quality. A quiet room with reasonable acoustics is important. You do not need professional recording equipment or a studio. TGC values musical excellence over production quality.

Finalists perform live via a professional streaming platform. Each performer has a dedicated time slot with a brief introduction and interview. The jury watches in real time and scores each performance. The global audience can watch, interact via chat, and vote for the Audience Choice Award. Results are announced in a closing ceremony immediately following the last performance.

Yes. TGC is committed to ensuring that the entry fee is never a barrier to participation. Fee waivers and entry scholarships will be available for musicians who demonstrate financial need. Details on how to apply for fee assistance will be published when registration opens. As a fully online competition, participants also save significantly on travel and accommodation costs that traditional competitions require.

Jury members will be announced progressively in the months leading up to registration. We are assembling panels of the highest artistic caliber for each division. Register your interest below to receive notifications as jury announcements are made.

As the inaugural season of TGC Competitions, the 2027 edition is open to all eligible musicians. In future seasons, past Grand Prize winners may be invited to serve as jury members or guest performers rather than competitors. Division winners from previous seasons may re-enter in a different division.

During the livestreamed finals, viewers worldwide can vote for their favorite performer. Each registered viewer receives one vote per division. The performer with the most audience votes across all divisions receives the Audience Choice Award. Voting is conducted through our secure online platform to ensure fairness. The Audience Choice Award is independent of the jury's decisions.
