Edward Carroll is a distinguished trumpet performer, conductor, and educator with over four decades of experience at the highest levels of classical music performance and teaching. Based in the United States, he is Professor of Music at the Bard College Conservatory of Music, where he has played a central role in shaping advanced trumpet training within a conservatory environment.

Edward teaches Advanced, Pre-Professional, and Professional trumpet players, bringing a creative, artist-driven approach rooted in musical clarity, stylistic depth, and long-term artistic development. His work spans orchestral performance, solo repertoire, recording, and conducting, giving students a broad and practical understanding of professional musical life.

As an educator, Edward has taught extensively at the university and conservatory level and is recognized for his ability to guide serious musicians toward refined musical thinking, sound concept, and interpretive authority. His international teaching experience includes working with students across multiple continents, supported by simultaneous translation tools when needed.

In addition to his academic career, Edward has maintained an active presence as a performer and conductor, contributing to orchestral projects, solo recordings, and collaborative artistic initiatives.
