How It Works: From Booking to Your First Lesson

How It Works: From Booking to Your First Lesson

Your step-by-step guide to booking a lesson and making the most of your time with an internationally accomplished instructor.

Whether you are a conservatory-level student seeking guidance from a master teacher or an adult learner returning to your instrument after years away, the process is the same: simple, personal, and designed to get you playing as quickly as possible.

Step 1: Browse Our Faculty

Start by exploring our full faculty roster. Each instructor has a dedicated profile with their biography, performance history, teaching philosophy, and the disciplines they offer. Take your time. Read about their backgrounds. Watch their performances. Find the teacher whose artistry and approach resonate with you.

Step 2: Choose Your Lesson

Once you have found your instructor, select the lesson type that fits your goals:

  • Private Lessons — One-on-one instruction tailored to your level, repertoire, and objectives
  • Masterclasses — Intensive sessions focused on performance preparation and interpretation
  • Group Lessons — Collaborative learning with fellow students in a small-group setting

Each listing includes the lesson duration, price, and a clear description of what to expect.

Step 3: Book and Pay

Click Book Now on your chosen lesson. You will be guided through our secure checkout to select a date and time that works for both you and your instructor. Payment is collected at the time of booking.

Step 4: Receive Your Confirmation

After booking, you will receive two emails:

  1. An order confirmation from The Global Conservatory with your booking summary
  2. A detailed lesson confirmation with your Zoom link, instructor details, and preparation notes

Save your Zoom link. You will use it to join your lesson at the scheduled time.

Step 5: Prepare for Your Lesson

Before your first session, we recommend:

  • Installing Zoom and testing your audio and video
  • Having your instrument tuned and ready
  • Preparing any repertoire or material your instructor has requested
  • Finding a quiet space with a stable internet connection

Step 6: Join Your Lesson

At the scheduled time, click your Zoom link and meet your instructor. Every lesson is live, one-on-one, and fully interactive. This is real teaching — not a recording, not a webinar. You and your teacher, working together in real time.
