Our Belief

Music education is a human right, not a privilege.

TGC believes that geography, income, and circumstance should never determine who gets to study music at the highest level. The Global Access Scholarship exists to honor that belief with action. We provide full and partial tuition awards to exceptional musicians around the world who would otherwise be unable to access conservatory-level training. Because when we remove barriers, we do not just change individual lives — we enrich the entire art form.

The Global Access Scholarship is not just about tuition. It is a comprehensive support system designed to give every scholar the resources they need to thrive.

Musicians performing together across cultures, united by music
Global Community

Talent Knows No Borders

TGC scholars come from more than 50 countries, representing every continent and every musical tradition imaginable. From classical to contemporary, from folk traditions to avant-garde composition, our scholars bring the full richness of global musical culture into every classroom and rehearsal.

When a pianist in rural Brazil studies alongside a vocalist in Lagos, when a composer in India collaborates with a guitarist in Appalachia, something transformative happens. Music education becomes what it was always meant to be: a conversation between cultures, not a gatekept institution.

Profiles coming soon — the stories behind the music.

P

A Pianist from Rural Brazil

Piano · Certificate Program

Growing up hours from the nearest piano teacher, she learned from online videos and a secondhand keyboard. The Global Access Scholarship connected her with internationally accomplished faculty, a technology stipend for a digital piano, and a community of pianists who understand the journey. Her story is still being written.

V

A Vocalist from Lagos

Voice · Diploma Program

A church choir leader with extraordinary natural talent and no access to formal vocal training. Through TGC, he studies classical and contemporary technique with faculty who honor his musical roots while expanding his range. He is already mentoring younger vocalists in his community.

C

A Composer from Rural India

Composition · Certificate Program

Trained in Indian classical traditions, she dreamed of composing for film and orchestra. The scholarship gave her access to composition studies, music technology tools, and a mentor who bridges Eastern and Western musical languages. Her first orchestral work is in progress.

The specific amount varies based on individual need and geographic context.

Our scholarship committee reviews each application holistically. We consider musical ability and potential, demonstrated financial need, personal circumstances and barriers faced, commitment to musical growth, and the potential impact of the award on your trajectory. We do not use formulas or cutoff scores. Every application is read by multiple committee members.

Yes — the scholarship is specifically designed for a global community. Musicians from more than 150 countries are eligible. Because TGC programs are delivered online, there are no visa or residency requirements. You can study from anywhere in the world with a reliable internet connection.
