Eligibility
Program Requirements
Admissions criteria vary by program type. Review the requirements for your intended track below.
Professional Certificates
52 certificate programs across six disciplines. Open enrollment with rolling admissions.
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated interest in the subject area
- No audition required (most certificates)
- Reliable internet and computer access
Bachelor's & Master's Degrees
Accredited degree programs offered through university partners. Competitive admissions with audition.
- BFA/BM: High school diploma, GPA 2.5+
- MFA/MM: Bachelor's degree in related field
- Live or recorded audition required
- Statement of purpose (500–750 words)
- Two letters of recommendation
Continuing Education
Individual courses, workshops, and masterclasses for lifelong learners and working professionals.
- Open to all ages and skill levels
- No formal prerequisites
- Course-by-course enrollment
- Some workshops have capacity limits
- Credits may transfer to certificate tracks
Application Process
Application Timeline
From inquiry to enrollment — here is what to expect at each stage.
1. Explore Programs
Anytime
Browse our certificate, degree, and continuing education offerings. Attend a virtual information session or schedule a 1:1 advising call.
2. Submit Application
Rolling (Certificates) · Priority Deadlines (Degrees)
Complete the online application form. Include your statement of purpose, resume, and any supporting materials for your program.
3. Audition / Portfolio Review
Within 2 weeks of application
Degree applicants: schedule a live audition or submit a recorded performance. Certificate applicants: no audition for most tracks.
4. Admissions Review
1–2 weeks after audition
Our admissions committee reviews your full application. Faculty in your discipline provide artistic assessment.
5. Decision Notification
Rolling · Degree decisions by April 1
Receive your admissions decision via email. Accepted students receive enrollment instructions, financial aid package, and orientation details.
6. Enrollment & Onboarding
Within 2 weeks of acceptance
Confirm enrollment, complete registration, set up your student portal, and attend new student orientation before classes begin.

What to Prepare
Gather these materials before starting your application.
Application Form
Complete the online application with personal info, program selection, and educational background.
Statement of Purpose
500–750 words describing your musical goals, experience, and what you hope to achieve. Required for degree programs.
Audition Recording
15–20 minute video recording of contrasting repertoire. Live auditions available by request. Degree programs only.
Recommendations
Two letters from teachers, mentors, or professional colleagues who can speak to your artistic potential. Degree programs only.
Transcripts
Official transcripts from previous institutions. Required for degree programs. Unofficial accepted for initial review.
Resume / CV
Highlight performance experience, education, teaching experience, and professional activities. Recommended for all applicants.

Frequently Asked
No. The Global Conservatory does not charge an application fee for any program.
Yes. You may apply to multiple certificate or degree programs simultaneously. Each requires its own application materials.
Most certificate programs do not require an audition. Performance-focused certificates (e.g., Solo Recital Mastery, Opera & Vocal Performance) may require a brief recorded sample.
Priority deadline for Fall entry is March 1. Spring entry priority deadline is October 15. Applications received after priority deadlines are reviewed on a space-available basis.
Yes. Merit-based scholarships are available for degree program applicants. Financial aid and payment plans are available for all students. Visit our Tuition & Payment page for details.
Absolutely. The Global Conservatory is a global institution. All programs are delivered online, making them accessible worldwide. English proficiency is required for instruction.
