Anthony holds Fellowship Diplomas in Piano Performance from the National College of Music (London) and in Piano Teaching from the Victoria College of Music (London), alongside additional performance diplomas from the Australian Music Examinations Board and the University of West London. His work includes syllabus coordination and rewriting for piano and piano duet examinations, as well as senior examiner and chief examiner roles, including his appointment as Chief Examiner of the Italian Music Assessment Board System. His expertise in assessment makes him one of the most authoritative figures in examination and competition preparation globally.

He is Artistic Director of the Neapolitan Masters Competition in Asia and PianoFocus Summer Camp in Canada, and serves as Hong Kong President of the World Piano Teachers Association.

Trained entirely in Hong Kong, Anthony began piano at age five and appeared on television performing a full Beethoven program at age six. His mentors include Kam-Mui Deng, Wo-Ping Law, Colin Kingsley, Malcolm Frager, and Shura Cherkassky, with whom he studied under special recommendation. He has since concertized internationally in the UK, Europe, Canada, and the United States.

As an educator, Anthony teaches students of all ages from Beginner through Professional levels. His teaching is structured, creative, and exam-focused, with particular strength in maximizing examination results, competition readiness, and long-term artistic development. He is also deeply engaged in teacher training worldwide, delivering masterclasses, workshops, and pedagogy programs across multiple continents.

Through a career defined by assessment authority, pedagogical leadership, and global impact, Anthony Tam brings unparalleled expertise in piano education, examination strategy, and professional development to The Global Conservatory.
