Sankar Mandal is an award-winning Western classical guitarist, pianist, composer, and certified clinical music therapist with over 13 years of international teaching and performance experience. A two-time UrbanPro Teacher of the Year, he has trained students across every level—from young beginners to diploma and conservatory candidates—guiding them with a teaching style that blends structure, creativity, and deep musical awareness.

• Fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, Sankar teaches a wide range of instruments, including classical guitar, guitarlele, ukulele, Arabic oud, baritone guitar, piano, and harpsichord. His approach integrates rigorous technical development with expressive musicianship, covering Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Folk, Film/Media, and Improvisation.
• He is extensively experienced in preparing students for Trinity College London, ABRSM, London College of Music, and Rockschool examinations. He is known for his ability to transform both beginners and advanced players into confident, well-rounded musicians.
• As a KHDA-certified specialist in Special Educational Needs, Sankar has worked with learners with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and other learning challenges. His lessons incorporate Indian Raga-based therapeutic techniques and Western classical pedagogy, emphasizing both musical growth and emotional well-being.
• Sankar also brings strong creative and technical expertise to his teaching—ranging from orchestration, composition, and digital music production to instrument restoration and curriculum design. His mission is to empower students of all abilities, build inclusive musical communities, and prepare the next generation of musicians and music therapists through meaningful, transformative music education.
