Eric Sunday

Violin Faculty | The Global Conservatory

Eric Sunday Sylvanus is a Lagos-based violinist and music educator whose relationship with the instrument spans the classroom, the concert stage, and everywhere in between. Trained at the MUSON Centre in Lagos and HOWASOM in Calabar, he built a strong foundation in violin, viola, cello, piano, and music theory — a foundation he now passes on to students across the globe.

As an educator, Eric teaches violin and cello through Preply and Fox Music School London, guiding students of all levels through technique, sight-reading, musicianship, and exam preparation, including Trinity graded examinations and auditions. His teaching career has also taken him through institutions like Jules Foundation, Merilebon Academy, and Beryl International Schools in Calabar, where he shaped young musicians from their very first notes.

On stage, Eric is a founding member of Auriella, a string quartet known for bringing elegance and emotion to every performance. With Auriella and as a soloist, he's played countless recitals, corporate events, and celebrations, adapting his sound to everything from intimate lounge settings to grand formal affairs. Whether leading a private lesson or commanding a room with his bow, Eric brings the same signature blend of discipline, warmth, and quiet showmanship to everything he plays.
