Parental Consent & Participation Agreement

For Students Under the Age of 18

1. Overview

This Agreement is entered into between:

• The Global Conservatory (“The Institution”), a global platform for advanced music education;

The purpose of this Agreement is to formalize the Parent or Guardian’s consent for the Student to participate in educational activities provided by The Institution.

2. Consent to Instruction

The Parent or Guardian grants full permission for the Student to:

• Receive one-on-one, small group, or class-based instruction through The Institution;
  
  

• Participate in scheduled lessons conducted via secure video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom);
  
  

• Engage with Faculty and support staff for educational purposes through authorized channels.
  
  

All instruction is delivered by professional Faculty approved by The Institution.

3. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

The Parent or Guardian agrees to:

• Ensure the Student has access to a safe and appropriate environment for learning;
  
  

• Provide necessary equipment and internet access;
  
  

• Monitor the Student’s participation, especially for learners under 16;
  
  

• Respond promptly to communications from the Institution regarding scheduling, conduct, or progress.
  
  

4. Professional Conduct & Faculty Boundaries

The Institution maintains strict standards for professional conduct and child safeguarding.

• Faculty are prohibited from initiating or maintaining direct communication with minor students outside of approved platforms;
  
  

• All messaging and scheduling must occur through official systems or involve the Parent or Guardian when appropriate;
  
  

• Students are expected to behave respectfully and professionally;
  
  

• Any inappropriate behavior or policy violation — by faculty or student — will be subject to immediate review.
  
  

5. Instructional Content & Cultural Sensitivity

All educational content will be:

• Age-appropriate, discipline-focused, and designed for the Student’s development;
  
  

• Delivered in a manner respectful of cultural, religious, and national diversity;
  
  

• Free of ideological, political, or religious messaging unless directly relevant to musical curriculum (e.g., sacred music or historical works).
  
  

Faculty are required to maintain neutrality and adhere to the Institution’s academic and cultural policies.

6. Privacy & Data Security

By signing this Agreement, the Parent or Guardian consents to:

• The secure collection and storage of the Student’s personal information and lesson history;
  
  

• Internal lesson recordings (if applicable), used solely for training, quality assurance, or dispute resolution;
  
  

• The Institution’s compliance with international privacy regulations, including:
  
  

• GDPR (Europe)
  
  

• COPPA (United States)
  
  

• Applicable national laws where the Student resides.
  
  

The Institution does not sell or share student data.

7. Waiver of Liability

The Parent or Guardian acknowledges that:

• The Institution provides access to instruction and educational services but does not guarantee specific outcomes;
  
  

• The Institution and its Faculty are not responsible for incidental disruptions, dissatisfaction with instruction, or external factors beyond its control;
  
  

• The Parent or Guardian assumes full responsibility for the Student’s participation and behavior.
  
  

8. Withdrawal and Suspension

• The Parent or Guardian may withdraw the Student from participation at any time with written notice;
  
  

• The Institution reserves the right to suspend or terminate instruction if:
  
  

• The Student engages in repeated misconduct;
  
  

• There is a breach of platform policy;
  
  

• Continued participation is deemed inappropriate by the Institution.
  
  

9. Legal Jurisdiction
