Sippola earned her Doctor of Music degree from the University of the Arts Helsinki (MuTri) in 2017, becoming Finland's first singer-songwriter to complete a doctoral degree. Her artistic doctoral research explored the process of songwriting and the artist identity of the singer-songwriter as both creator and performer of songs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSippola has released seven solo albums, with her most recent releases under the artist name AURAL. She is one of the key figures in Finnish singer-songwriter music and among the first female singer-songwriters in Finland to produce and release her own music independently.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSippola teaches songwriting at the Open Campus of the University of the Arts Helsinki and at the Critical Academy.
